[Rods Ballet] and [Rhodes Performing Arts Theatre] jointly launched the "Dream Catcher" dance creation project, began to enter the field of research and creation, and hoped that the new generation of dance blood can create a new world for the dance world A new situation and inherit the essence of the previous generation. Through the supporting manpower, material resources and various administrative resources of the dance troupe, choreographers can focus on creating works.
The "Dream Catcher" project has continued for five consecutive years, and has also handed over excellent creative works every year. It has become active under the constant exchanges and cooperation with creators or dancers in different regions.

The sixth "Dream Catcher" project will continue to uphold the spirit of supporting originality. The first choreographer is Koala-Yip, an American choreographer who specializes in technological media dance and a professor at the City University of Hong Kong. He will perform in Hong Kong and Taiwan Communicate and create. Huang Hengwei, a master of dance creation from National Taiwan University of Arts, uses her unique creative techniques to expound a different perspective on life. Another theater director and actor, Chen Jiaxiang, will conceive and develop ideas in a new direction to launch another creative style and challenge.

American-based choreographer specializing in technology media dance
Koala Yip Ye Caifeng takes the concept of multimedia as the basis of creation, pursues the integration of new art forms, and insists on the pure essence of creators who dare to try. He is the first multimedia creator to be invited by China National Television to create an interactive media dance that is broadcast live across the country. Yip received bachelor's and master's degrees from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and the California Institute of the Arts, and traveled around the world to create and perform. His works have been published in theaters, art galleries and academic conferences in various countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Estonia and various places in Asia.
Yip has received various scholarships and awards, including the Sir Edward Youde Foundation Overseas Research Scholarship, the Cultural Commendation Certificate of Los Angeles, California, the California Arts Council Fund, the New Interface Creation Award of the University of Wisconsin, the Jackie Chan Foundation Scholarship, the Asian Cultural Council Scholarship, the Academy of Performing Arts The Principal's Honor Award and the Best Performance Award in the Bauhinia Cup Dance Competition. Yip is teaching media art in Hong Kong and has guest lectured at Beijing Dance Academy, University of Hong Kong and Maryland Institute of Art.

Creator Huang Hengwei

Graduated from the National Taiwan University of Arts Department of Dance Master's Program
From elementary school to graduate school, they are all dance students. They love dance performance and dance creation. During college, they joined the street performer team Aurora Art Space and have close cooperation with talents in various art fields. During the graduate school, they founded the Cocho Take interdisciplinary art team. , and began to try to combine multimedia images with dance. Since 2011, Yingge Dance Troupe has been established to teach ballet, Chinese dance, popular dance, children's rhythm and aerobic yoga.
In recent years, he worked as a choreographer and dancer in the 2016 Taipei Fringe Festival Aurora Art Space "Between Us, From Traveling..."

Creator Chen Jiaxiang

Graduated from the Directing Group of the Department of Drama and Institute of Theater Art, National Taipei University of the Arts.
Currently serving as the director of the private Yong Peng Industrial and Commercial Performing Arts Department and On & IN Performance Studio, he used to wander between TV, film and theater, and then worked with education on the edge of the world. The full-time father is still walking secretly, in the past, present and future.
