"The Deer King and the Poor Girl" ballet is a ballet based on a Buddhist story. The Nutcracker ballet was produced by the Rhodes Dance Company in Taipei and Hualien. After the tour in Hualien, a new large-scale ballet was launched, showing a new set and props on the stage. It has a big pattern and invites Lin Lifeng, former soloist of the South African National Ballet and Hong Kong Ballet, to perform.
The first act uses the story of the five-color deer king in the Buddhist scriptures to present the moving plot of the deer king’s compassionate sacrifice. The second act uses the Buddhist scriptures to sell hair and light the lamps, and presents the perseverance and determination to seek the Dharma with a heart of joy and sacrifice. The so-called sincere heart can move the world with regret. Professional dancers from the Rhodes Dance Troupe lead the dance group of the Art Class of the High School Attached to Cida University to perform together.
